Interactive real-time visualisation

Throughout history the library of the Franckeschen Stiftungen went through several structural and thematic changes. The goal was to show the main phases from 1728 to 1998 in an interactive VR presentation. The user is able to walk freely through space and time and the important changes are shown as animated and annotated transitions.

The project was a main part of the exhibition “Frühmoderne Bücherwelten. Die Bibliothek des 18. Jahrhunderts und das hallesche Waisenhaus” from May 6. – Oct. 7. 2007. Moreover was it shown at the long night of science in Halle and the annual exhibition of the Burg Giebichenstein 2007.
